I was thinking, that if you kept using the subSilver template, too, you could compare your modded subsilver with a fresh install of one...
...but what would be the best way to do that? I use Textpad to edit all my files and it offers a Compare Documents function...but only one comparison at a time.
Any tips? |

It really depends on how different the new template is from the original. If the files are nearly identical, you can just copy over your existing ones.

If you use Windows, you could look for a program called WinMerge. It's a neat document comparsion util I found a little while back. It can compare whole directories or individual files. _________________ Phantasy Star: The Fringes of Algo | phpBB Smith |

I have honestly found that nine times out of ten, when you add a new mod the template file is pretty much irrelevant to the template you are using.
Like say the helpdesk mod.
You get a helpdesk.tpl file
I have put that in 11 different templates and it always seems to work fine. I havent had it look really odd yet.
Same with most of the other files in the templates.
If the overall_header and footer, and the simple header and footer files are fine, then the others you can pretty much copy over and they all work the same...... |
