When you branch a community, the Cookie Name is defaulted to something along the lines of phpbbmysql2. When running multiple forums, this can be a pain and mess up the cookies for some people.

Do you usually change this? If so, is there any pattern to what you change it to?

Honestly, I don't think I have. I've never had a trouble and only very rarely receive reports of cookie trouble.

Do you mean multiple forums on the same database?

Anyway, there is a Auto Cookies mod that will set it up correctly for you.

If you want it you can get it from

I always change it manually, usually to something random, but based on the site name.

It can cause problems with multiple forums on the same domain, though I've occasionally seen problems with completely unrelated forums. I think that was a security issue in an old version of IE, though.
