I have such a thing as well, except its called "Warnings Issued", mods don't have to log every closing/moving of a thread but they have to log warnings they have issued to any member on that board. _________________ Toons & Comics Community

My SMF forum software keeps a log of all moderator actions automatically, does phpBB have something like that??
That could be very useful. _________________ Toons & Comics Community

It has a mod for that ^_^
As far as keeping my staff accountable, I dont really log too much. Never had a complaint about my staff ever (ive been the one to get into all of the fights) so I dont both too much for extra rules and regulations for my staff.
If they have questions or need examples, im glad to share my knowledge with them, but other than a few tutorials on how to do a few things and protocols for handling emergneices, I dont have a mod manual.

| I have a manual forum that shows them how to split topics, delete topics, that kind of thing. Every thread is how to do something else on the forum. I include regular forum duties and also hack functions. So if there's a new hack about the visual confirmation info, they can quickly look up the info if they search the one forum. |

Does anyone have a copy of their "manual" they would like to share? Don't have time to make one from scratch _________________ Dropship Forum

In terms of rules and such, moderators would already be well aware as they're experienced in moderating and have been active around the forum. We just have 'em read what a fellow admin said:

I can brief any given person on moderator controls in three sentences.
1. Buttons at the bottom control topic actions, such as the lock button WHICH HAS A LOCK ON IT (how complicated!).
2. Actions can be performed on multiple topics using the "Moderate this forum" link.
3: Posts can be edited or deleted using the buttons attached to each post.
There. Fully trained moderator. |

Not that its much use because I don't have many members or mods, But I do have a Moderator Handbook
Thanks to Mark Dunnigan (Wicked) of GameWinners.com Forums
I found it on theadminzone.com, it was designed for use on vB, but it easily converted for any forum type.
It never hurts to 'SURF' about _________________ Ian Holton
