Have you ever thought of editing the "Thanks for posting" pages and adding a personal touch, or possibly the page after registration?

I am thinking of doing so. Do you edit these pages?[/i]

I've never considered it and at one point I actually removed the posting confirmation page.

Yes, both. I don't recall the details on the "Thanks for posting" page, but I know I wanted to have a custom message for the page after registration with important details, such as where to find the topic to introduce (of course, I have no need for that any further since I created an introduction forum). I also wanted that page to show up with the person automatically logged in at that time.

The registration page is a must I believe. It's a good way to point new members towards the start of their adventure to your forum. Smile

I'm too lazy especially since Olympus will be coming out soon.

Besides what I mentioned above, I'm further discouraged from taking the time since I already have an intro forum, and since all the important information is very visible and well-organized in the very first forum (not to mention my inability to get the required modification information for implementing instant login once you click "Submit" on the registration page).

I have, however, customized my agreement page, because the vb version is cool.

I haven't really (other than to add our signature guidelines to the edit signature area, etc.), but I don't see any harm in doing so. Smile

Yes. I customize my forums.

The registration page has been changed, as has the header & footer. Thanks for posting has been changed to "Thanks for contributing to the community. Keep those posts coming!"

I think customizing your community and giving them a personal touch is very important.
