What was the first forum/community software (and version) that you installed and used on your own hosting (rather than a remotely hosted solution, etc.)?

phpBB. I believe it was 2.0.11. Somewhere around there where the Global Moderators hack had a problem with a PHP server I had. Smile

The first one I used in a live environment, I believe, was phpBB 1.2.1.

The first forum software I used that I hosted was phpBB 2.0.6. I had also used remotely hosted boards though like ezBoard and Proboards before that though.

That would be the phpBB forum software. It is the best in my opinion and has always worked for me in the long run of creating communities.
