How much do you concentrate on designing your community to integrate well with your website? I'd consider it something essential. Currently I have a site with dark colors and the forum pops out with white. I need to change that.
So those admins with content, do you make the site uniform? _________________ Truestar

I think it is really a lot easier to work the other way around.
Design your forum and then design your website around your forum. _________________ ~HG~

When I had the forums and the articles in 2 different folders I tried to make them look alike. Now I need to redesign the directory so that it looks exactly as the forums. It's important to have a commoon look for all places in the site _________________ Webmaster articles, tutorials and topics |

My forum also looked a lot different to the site. I concentrated on forum content, first. I think it's a bad mistake for a community leader to concentrate on the design first, rather than creating content to increase visitor retention.
Now the forums are starting to roll along, I'm concentrating on the design more.
What I do is, match the forum's header & footer to the site's, then tweak the CSS file to match the colours.
I haven't bothered with the colours, though, as the chat site & the chat forum have their own different members & personalities. The chat site is more green, whereas the forum is more blue.. but I think it works well. They still look like they belong together, thanks to the matching header & footer. _________________ Thanks,
Tom.
