Hi, my community has 8 months and i have 1600 + registered users, with an average of 200 new registered users by month.
I'm very satisfied with that but i'm worried about the daily visits and posting average... basically my moderators are the ones who post on my forum.
Also i have an average of 100-120 daily unique visitors, i think is a low number for a community with 1600+ registered users.
I don't know how to increase the posting and visits average.
I noticed that new members after register never come back.
We ( me and moderators ) start a lots of threads but there is almost no replies... i don't know what wrong.
Any advice will be well received.
Thanx in advance! _________________ Sorry if my english is not the best >img src="images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Very Happy"> |

You need to have fresh topics daily. Try 5 at least each day and don't let a day pass without writing some. Use some newsletter mass emails to remind your members the site is still online. USe some post exchanges if needed to have some new blood in the forums. and keep up the good work _________________ Webmaster articles, tutorials and topics |

I also suggest you and your moderators reply to these threads and start a discussion - in the event of that members are more likely to respond.
If you have many threads with zero replies this may be what is turning new members away. |

Check the replied topics and focus on similar discussions! Then email or pm your members that you have improved your community focus.
I hope that helps!

Having your moderators do the discussing isn't necessarily a bad thing. It shows new users there that there's a community with several conversations going on.
New users will register and never come back. It's happened here at CA, and it happens to every forum. Sometimes people like to register to read everything and not post. Some just signed up for no reason, some forget. As stated previously, send out a newsletter. Try every 2 weeks to get a newsletter out there with something new on it.
Good luck! _________________ Truestar
