i dont know if this has been posted before or not or in anoother section of the website, but i couldn't find a similar post when i searched, if this is in the wrong place or it exists already then you have my aploagies, but my question is this: How do i set moderators and admins (e.g. the green mod and yellow/orange admin) i have tried to but not succesfully it just asks me to create a new category and asks if i want it to have special status! - i don't even know what this means! i just want to be able to create a group for moderators allowing them to moderate, and one for admins to give them admin status (obviously), PLEASE HELP - this is driving me crazy! What forum software are you using? If you're using phpBB, then you need:

For making a user an admin or a moderator:

Go to: User Permissions -> Look up user (choose the user name)

and then select his User Level (administrator or user)

For moderator, just select his status for each of the listed forums.

For groups, just follow the same procedure with the group admin and then make the group as a moderator for the required forums.

Then add or remove members to/from the group as needed.
