Anyways ...

I am responsible for the maintainance and upkeep of a friends web community. Currently they are using Platinum Nuke 7.6 and have asked me to convert their entire site over to a phpbb portal system. So far, I have things going well. However, I have a few questions as I'm not sure exactly how to go about doing some of the database transfers.

I'd love to be able to transfer the users' names and all that info from the nuke phpbb database to the phpbb forum (newest version with the category hierarchy pre-hacked files). Exactly how do I go about doing this?

I need to be able to transfer the posts from the nuke phpbb forum to the new one. Again, how do I go about doing this?

I know that the phpbb in nuke has been ported to work with the nuke so I'm not sure if I can or how to go about changing things so that I can just move one over to the other.

Instructions on how to do this are greatly appreciated.

I am not sure either but I have found that such changes are a great opportunity to rid a board of dead email accounts and non-user members.

In the past, I have mass emailed from the old board to all members advising them of the changes and asked them to register anew on the new board if they still wish to be part of it.

I then leave the old board inplace (locked) for a time so that if they want to copy posts across they can.

Now a quick search has revealed you may find your answers among the FAQ's on phpbb.com
