I can code basic things, I could probably even code a blog (forum software would be stretching it, I'm no good with sessions) and I can fix and edit my forums and php code, but I'm not a real coder. I never really learned, it was just something I picked up. I've always been meaning to learn, too, just never found the time.
http://w3schools.com has amazing tutorials on everything related to internet design, though. _________________ Anime Hub - Free Streaming Anime |

I starting programming a very long time ago- back in the days before the Vic 20. Learned enough to be hired to write a couple of video games back in the day, so programming comes easy to me. Basic programming skills falls into all categories once you figure out the syntax of the language. For Web and BBS, I picked up Perl very quickly, PHP was easy, and MySQL was a tough chew, but I managed to learn it. At least I can program my way out of a brown paper bag.
Like somebody said above- best way to learn is to dive in and just do it.
After a while, those programs that insert the code for you do not work because of too many mods on your site and you're left with having to do it by hand anyway! |
