I prefer darker colors as the white on dark is easier for me to read text as I cannot see out of one eye and the other is getting bad..but if it's simply easy to read for me I dont mind either  _________________ blue |

I have always thought it depended on the niche and what the community is going for.
I think for the most part that professional business forums and communities of that nature should be a lighter and clean design. I've seen the opposite on some that look great, but it seems hard to pull off.
As for darker themes; I think they look great on sites that have a more "underground" feel to them. Rock Bands, War Games, things of that nature. _________________ Camaro Forums and Firebird Forums |

Definitely light. I find themes with lighter color schemes easier to navigate and more pleasant to view. As far as the human behind the bunny is concerned, dark themes are simply visual pollution. Period, end of story.
Different strokes for different folks. _________________ Some people get kicks out of causing arguments. Its a primitive human impulse that evolution hasn't quite corrected yet...
