I feel basically the same way capmaster does and I too find it fortunate that I have never had any issues via PM. Of course, my site is not nearly as big as some of yours and our rules are generally not as strict, so i guess we really avoid the bullets on those.

I dont know really what i would do if there were problems via pm on my site. Never really put a whole lot of thought into it. Guess that will be something to figure out when the time comes ^_<

While I dont look negatively upon those who do use these plugins, I just dont think i could bring myself to use such a thing as it would send the wrong message to my users or tempt improper usage.

I just try to put myself in the members' shoes. Would I want an admin arbitrarily snooping in my PMs? No. Would I understand and tolerate it if it were necessary for forum security? You betcha I would Wink

That's not to say anyone here would arbitrarily snoop. From what I've read here you are all a very honorable bunch. But the members would be the ones to convince, not me Wink

Let me tell you when there are hundreds of PM's sent every day it really is a waste of time snooping at them.

I can think of a lot better things to do than to read other people's PM's
