Mornin folks.
I'm the community manager over at ConquerClub.com and have been modding/running forums for gaming companies for over 6 years now.
I came at this CMing "thang" from a political science background (check out my old blog at www.AutochthonousDiaspora.com for some pseudo-intellectual papers on the intersection of poli-sci and gaming/virtual communities) and pretend I know more than I do.
I'm facing some interesting challenges with a very problematic mod and the fact that my boss insists on having a flame wars forum on our site which has attracted a rather non-kosher crowd so to speak. All fun and games in a day's work.
Looking forward to picking brains and pushing the boundaries of what people conceive of as community and improving the (mostly non-existant) tools that we have to run the sites that we do.
