Hello,

I am Alec, and I run the website www.uniyay.com.

I am trying to think of ways to get members, and lots of them. But all my trys to promote the site, I fail.

So this is why I came here for some advice to get many members on my forums.

What do I do?

Well, I think all the users are from my old forum, which my old host died on me, and I had to rebuild it. So then all the users from the old one switched to the new one.

Also, is there any tips maybe on something I can add to the site to make it more popular, or is there a path I can take that I can get my site popular. Zula, your fourm is huge, and I want very badly to get it popular like yours.

What do I do?

well, for one my forum is closed to guests, therefore making people register if they are curious enough, also, my forum is about sports and that is probably one of the most popular subjects out there, hence my forum is one of the smallest once on the net. Try linking to forums that are in the same line like yours, or try posting links wherever you can, once google picks up on the links, it will help you with rating and therefore more people coming accross your forum. hope this will help little bit at least.

I see you are running a bit of a competition regarding referrals so may I suggest you install the referral plus mod which will keep track of all the referrals for you.

You can set the time frame so that you can use it for promotions.

It is available here at phpbb.com
