Hello,

Of those us that have not purged member accounts (or only delete them if they are unconfirmed via e-mail), what is the percentage of overall accounts that have 0 posts? Please post the number of accounts, number of accounts with 0 posts and percentage (if you can). Here is a tool you can use to quickly calculate percentage:

http://www.csgnetwork.com/csgpercent.html

Here are mine:

2,364 members, 586 members with 0 posts = 24.7%
6,597 members, 1,515 members with 0 posts = 22.9%
22,841 members, 5,375 members with 0 posts = 23.5%
3,329 members, 689 members with 0 posts = 20.6%
355 members, 109 members with 0 posts = 30.7%
220 members, 59 members with 0 posts = 26.8%
33 members, 17 members with 0 posts = 51.5%

I guess I may as well come up with a total:

35,739 members, 8,350 members with 0 posts = 23.3%

Thanks. Smile

maybe i should cry =/

233/409 = 56.9%

Alot of that has come in the last 100 or so users. Definitely not a good trend, but they do log in alot which means at least they arent bots. I think maybe 80 users on my site are confirmed to be bots (i leave em there but edit their profiles ^_^)

so my real human percentage is more like 153/329 = 46.5%

My community, I'm working toward a launch, but is currently:
2 0 posters/6 members = 33.3%

1 of those 0 posters is a test user and the other is a bot from before I turned visual confirmation on, Laughing

But, I'll count also the forum where I am "Head Moderator" which is:
1000 0 posters/8200 members = 12%

Of course, if we are talking actually active posters of that remaining 88% the number is a lot lower.

More or less looking for exact counts. Smile On that last community Brandon, are you sure that no accounts have ever been purged? If so, that seems like a pretty good number. Smile

Technically it is 1048/8221 which is I guess actually rounded up to 13% zero posters. If I counted people with lets say less than 5 posts that number would increase to 5359/8221=65% a big difference. Still a few thousand actually "active" posters but the number is much greater then if it goes by strict zero posters. As far as purging accounts, I can't speak of before I was staff, since I became staff I believe there have been a total of about 25-50 deleted accounts. So figure that number is slightly different than what I said but is in the general area of 13-16% zero posters.

EDIT - I should mention part of the reason there are so few zero posters is because the admin has hidden most of the forums from view unless you have at least 1 post. Basically if you won't bother to post 1 introduction post or something on the forums then he doesn't want you seeing all the "stuff" the forum has to offer. Thus why it changes so drastically if you go to people with less than 5 posts.
