I've been playing around with this open source app. It seems perfectly adequate, and in fact is even overkill for me.
In the future I plan to sell advertising space on my wife's forum, once it gets large enough. I was considering this app because I bought advertising space on Sluggy.com a couple times and they used this app. I was impressed with the ad stats available for the advertiser.
Anyone else have experience with this, and can anyone recommend a different one?

I use it myself and it's excellent. It's only downside is the lack of a billing/invoicing system. Someone - I believe - is building one for MMM (a side operation of PAN). _________________ My Sites: Web Hosting Discounts - Freelance Web Design - Webmaster Resources |

I use it for a very large network of sites at work and we serve millions of ads per day with it. I also use it on my personal sites and it really like it. They could use some help in the documentation department and the interface needs a lot of work to be easier to follow and faster. Otherwise, I like it quite a bit. _________________ Chrispian H. I htink its pretty much the definitive solution for online advertising, I use it for a few of my websites and have never had any problems that weren't caused by my own stupidity |
I hear that.
"The problem lieth betwixt the keyboard and the chair" That's usually what does me in
I fumbled about for awhile when I first tried the app. The documentation is a bit cryptic.
But ...judging by the replies here, I should bite the bullet and get to really learn this then.
Thanks, one and all _________________ The Conversation Pit

I just started using it the other day. It seems to be an excellent bit of kit. Contrary to what a lot of folk say, I found the documentation quite straight forward (there are two documents, the admin and the user guides. Luckily, my host had a Fantastico auto installer, so the hard work was done for me)
I had a bit of trouble getting it to talk to my PHP Nuke system, but I got there in the end
I recommend playing around with the software before getting into the docs. When you get to know the rough workings, the instructions make a lot more sense
Its great if you want to serve ads to multiple sites
I hope that they get Paypal and some invoicing features built in soon |
