I am currently building a new site geared towards pipe bands in general. I am trying to build a place where people of pipe bands from around the world can join in and create a mass band community.
Anyway, here's the site: TartanClad.com
Thank you in advance. _________________ TartanClad.com |

| The picture at the top I'd resize it. It should probably only go below the top rectangle by half what it currently does. Also on the dates page, instead of using an IFRAME to display someone else's page you should go ahead and make your own version of that calender. It maybe easier to do it with an IFRAME, but it' looks Tacky. That way you can make it match your site. Other than those suggestions it coming along pretty good. The forum has just the right categories and forums it needs and isn't overcrowded. You definitely need to get some local people you know to talk it up a bit on the board, so that new people from other places won't see a dead board. Have them talk about their equipment and what their favorite memories from past competitions. Basically you need to give them impression of a broke in board, that isn't just a stale, just install board. |

| You might want to contact Lyons college in Batesville, Arkansas, USA. http://www.lyon.edu/ They have a Scottish Heritage program. http://www.lyon.edu/scottishHeritage/program.asp I'm sure someone there would be interested in your board. The Director of the Scottish Heritage Program has contact information at the bottom of that last page. |
