I want to have quality message posters, people who know the script and are dedicated to the "cause". What are your "requirements" for mods? _________________ Webmaster articles, tutorials and topics |

A level headedness and a plain, pleasant outlook. Not one who takes the job too seriously. And somebody who shows less interest in taking part in very controversial topics... Most importantly somebody who shows enough dedication to your site to remain on the team for long...
It would be most embarrassing to appoint somebody as a moderator and then find that they have left your forum... _________________ Literary Forums

- levelheadedness
- moderate opinions/ideologies
- knowledge/expertise of whatever the board is based around
- active and involved member that would be happy to volunteer for the position
- friendliness/helpfulness towards newbies
- respectful and innovative of existing site rules
- English-French bilingualism (most of my sites are bilingual) _________________ - Elbie |

Activity - They cant do their job if theyre not there
Maturity - The ability to handle difficult situations that will arise
Kindness - Noone likes or respects a mean person
Sociability - Moderators dont get noticed or respected if they dont talk
among those they moderate
Common Sense - this is very much overlooked. Even the most intelligent and mature people will lack common sense and perspective from time to time.

My list is basically the same as Ex0dus's.
I like my moderators to be intelligent, kind, mature, and active. They also need to be able to handle a 'serious situation' if one arises, such as spambots, or a spam attack on the forums. (Happened twice in the past, due to banned members calling upon friends to harrass the forums. They ran my moderators ragged, but they did their jobs well.) And also must be able to handle all the normal issues as well. _________________ Rogue Force

And trustworthy as well, if you can't trust a moderator then he shouldn't be there. _________________ Visit my site - www.danecobain.com
