It would be far too time consuming. Some of my forums are getting hundreds of new post each day. No way I could keep up with that. Luckily, I have great teams of moderators on each one to help with that.

I skim and read through all the posts all the time.

It's not possible anymore for me to.

The forum I work on is becoming very active.

I wouldn't be able to keep up.

When It was newer however, I did. I'm just glad we have enough moderators to keep it in check.

I have in the past and have found that the admin showing an interest and responding to posts is a great way to encourage people to come back to your forum.

However, my community is now so active that there is just no way to monitor every post. At last count my users had posted 291,234 articles. I have to rely on the mods to keep an eye on things, and for users to report issues. I've been considering adding a 'report this post to a mod' button - but I've not seen one that works with phpbb in Nuke (if anyone knows of one...)

I can't keep up with the posts on my forum or it would become my full time occupation. We've been up and running for a little under six months and have nearly 10,000 posts. Like others here I am of the mind that having moderators or other staff members reading each post is important. Also I keep an eye on new posts for spam links and we do a good job of banning the spammers and deleting the threads as they come up.

Personally, I can't wait until my forums get to be so big that I can't read all the posts or reply to all the topics. It'd be nice, wouldn't it? You could just browse your forums and discovere new topics everyday! Very Happy
