I have read about it. It's called SILENT SPAMMING.

People register, put the hyperlink in their profile at the website option. You could also edit robots.txt to disallow access to members.php

That way you won't have headaches since their efforts would be in vain Smile

robots.txt is a file you can create to set what you're gonna "feed" to the search engines. You put it in the root and then "tell" the site what content to hide from indexing, what search engines to disallow.

Am not a SEO specialist, will still try to offer more input about this.

That is a good case for you to check the website out for new members. Most of the time I know the people and their websites they advertise so I really don't worry much. If someone did open a spamming incident they would be banned and then proper contacting with forumer.com (my host) would be made on further arrangements.
