I did put the SQL from the .txt file, though in the package there is another .txt file in a subfolder called extra, which has two lines (the first txt file has one line).

Was your table prefix right? I had the same problem and I had to change my table prefix, also check if it's inserting into the right database also. This is the only query you need to add to your SQL

If you look at the install file you will find there is an error in that line where the author had the incorrect prefix.
