Have you ever had a staff member just up and vanish? Did they contact you to let you know anything? What measures have you taken to ensure you don't lose contact with your staff? _________________ Visit phpBBhacks.com for your phpBB templates, graphics, and modifications

Usually if someone vanish's from the staff, you should wait a little while to see if they come back and if not, send a PM or email.
It is also a good idea to get each staff members phone number...however, if they left for a reason, they probably won't be to thrilled to get a phone call from you so that should really be a last resort.
Also make sure you remove their moderator/administrative powers temporarily until they come back.
On one of the sites I am a moderator for, one of our staff members left to go work on the campaign of a presidential candidate last year. He said he would be back when he had more time, but we havn't seen him since... I still wonder what happened to him, he was a great guy. |

I've had a few vanish into the ether. We've got their email, snail mail, and phone #'s, and have tried to contact them. In most cases, it's life, in a few it was differences of opinion on site direction. I always tell my people, if they have a concern, tak to me. Most do but sometimes they just walk away. _________________ Webmaster:

I would definitely gather contact information as if I consider a person onto staff they are worth the time, and I would hope they think the same about my site. Especially if it's a good staff member I would want to know they weren't there for a good reason and wouldn't hesitate to e-mail or even call. _________________ Visit phpBBhacks.com for your phpBB templates, graphics, and modifications
