Definitely phpBB for me. I used to use a UBBThreads or something like that back in the day, when one of my hosts provided it. It was okay at the time, but phpBB is light years beyond it while not being bloated beyond belief. _________________ Phantasy Star: The Fringes of Algo | phpBB Smith |

i use a premodded version of phpbb called integramod
http://www.integramod.com
(i think that means i can't submit my site to phpbb review on phpbbhacks i have to re-read the guidelines) |

I started out using free providers (namely Xsorbit and Ezboard), and once I was familliar enough with webdesign and administration, I purchased my first hosting deal and installed phpBB. Out of the messageboard softwares that I've used as a member, I've liked phpBB the most. _________________ - Elbie |

That's basically the same here. |
and here, and now I spent so much time with phpbb its not worth using a different one lol
has anyone noticed how much phpbb is outvoting the others? _________________ Visit my site - www.danecobain.com

That's because most of people here came from phpbbhacks
You'll see once we have members from other places too that vBulletin is gonna get a huge number of votes _________________ Webmaster articles, tutorials and topics |

I looked at a number of open source BB packages before going with phpBB. The kicker for me was the size and activity found at www.phpbb.com. An enthusiastic userbase was an indication of a good product.
That was 3 years ago. I know have a half-dozen phpBB forums running with more on the way. _________________
