Since I couldn't afford vBulletin I just tried to make my phpBB as good as possible. I'd rather spend 1 month in working the forum than spend money I don't have. Life in Romania is a bit hard to be able to spend half the monthly wage on a forum script. Sad

What a surprise. Smile

I am familiar with IPB, but I started on phpbb and intend to stay with phpbb in all of my personal endeavors.

I dont like the forum software that you have to pay for...sure the mods and stuff may come pre-installed but where's the fun in that? Also why spend money on forum sotware when you can get PHPBB2 for FREE? I prefer PHPBB over all other forum software.

100% phpBB.

I used something else many, many years ago but I can't remember what it was. Got into phpBB in one of the very early version 1 model's and stuck with it.

Kind of similar with me, I checked out most the other software first though, and none of it struck my fancy. But then I came across phpBB, and it was perfect. I was unsure about downloading it, but when I checked out the site, the professionalism impressed me. So here I am now, running multiple phpBB boards. Laughing

phpBB on every site I run. IPB I strongly dislike and vBulletin is A) more than I want to spend on a forum software and B) has to many options that I don't really want.

That's one of the reasons I like phpBB so much, sure it may not come with a lot of extras, but I like that and would rather add only what I want instead of having hundreds of extras I will never use.
