Who was your worst moderator? Please only speak in vague details, etc. No sites, names - just what they did. Smile

I don't have Moderators who do bad jobs. But I have had some that simply disappear. I usually remove their status if they don't let me know before disappearing.

You will eventually, unfortunately. Smile But, I'm glad you haven't had to deal with it, yet.

I had two on my original venture that I had to get rid of.

One tried to take over my site once it was up and running but I must admit, he was a great help to me in the setting up the site and an even greater help with the graphics.

The second person was "dismissed" for breaches of privacy on the forum that could have landed me in hot water with the local law authorities.

That sucks, guys. I had one that called me out in front of the entire forum - i.e. he posted a thread saying negative things about me and most of the users saw. However, I demoted him and argued, and most everyone sided with me.

However, besides that, a few of my moderators have just slipped into obscurity due to a lack of activity. Nothin' too serious.

I had a one who just disappeared without letting me know. Another one just started getting too unprofessional and whining when activity was a bit slow, he stopped visiting now, and i removed his status.

Same as most of the others, I've had one or two that disappeared. Never had to kick a moderator off, though.

Worst... hmm. I've had a few really bad ones, I think. I had one who just turned into a mega witch. After being great for quite a while, she started to abuse the position and I had to correct her and correct her until... well, she started to get nasty with me and told me about her "following" and how she could use it against me. Laughing

So, I had to remove her from staff. She contacted/spammed plenty of users to give them her distorted account of what happened where I was the bad guy in every version, I'm sure. She stuck around and made snide remarks here and there about the staff until I finally had to ban her. And then she carried on, but at her new site which, of course, attracted other people I'd banned. But, my staff was completely aware of everything that went on as I included all of my and her messages and they were all really supportive, which was awesome. She tried to use one of them, as well. I was really, really patient with her, but I did finally have to ban her, as I said. By the time I did, all of my staff members were like "finally". Smile

A woman on a forum I have. She wasn't pleased with some hosting problems (made by the fact she had some issues with the vbulletin script and failed to solve them). I let her use some hosting I have, but I have it on reseller .. the guys with the server shut her site up till she solved the issues.

Somehow she was sure I am to be blamed since I didn't tweak her database. It's not my duty to do this I told her, but she was mad. She was a mod on a forum and she deleted my rules thread and some others. Sick
