Howdy!

I'm Cross+Flame, owner and administrator primarily of the Cross+Flame Interfaith Community, but also a half-dozen other phpbb2 forums across religious topics.

Looking forward to good conversation on Administrative topics. I've got several on the table at the moment (gibberish posters that are not spammers, moderating, and getting more persons to the webspace), and ones I've weathered in our three years, so thank you for this space.

Blessings!

Hey Cross+Flame! Nice site! How did you get that menubar to be on the side of your forum?

CSS absolutes. The top header is absoluted 0-top up to 110px-top, the sidebar you absolute-left starting at 110-top, the center content area you absolute 110-top, 100-left. I start the <'div> for the center content in overall_header, and end the div in overall_footer. Thus all the content is wrapped.

The header is jacked up in IE, but it looks great in FireFox. I'm about to replace it with a different header I've been working on...look for it in about a month (our three-year anniversary is on the 17th November).

Thanks for the info!!! Unfortunately I'm not very fluent in CSS, but it looks like it works great!
