These are mine, they aren't very good seeing as I wrote them when first starting out, I imagine I need to adjust. please comment.
[b]Board Wide Rules
Stay on topic to to what you are replying to. Off-topic posts will vary in punishment.
Cussing/Swearing will not be tolerated. Please, if the auto-censor doesn't work, Edit your post so you censor it. Punishment will vary.
Spamming is the worst thing you could do here. Punishment, however high, will still vary.
"Heated" arguements are frowned upon. Punishment, will not be as severe, however will still vary.
Post in the correct Forum. Posting something about Video Games in the Mathematics section 1. Makes you look dumb 2. Angers the Moderators and I 3. Creates Spam, another offense.
When asking a question, ask once. Posting the same thing twice will not make me, or the Moderators happy.
Things To Look Out For
Spammers. When a Spammer comes to the board and posts crap, please DO NOT RESPOND TO THEM. I did this on one board, and
1. Gave him kicks out of my angered posts
2. Felt like an idiot afterwards
Spamming. Unintentional Spamming is possible. You may refresh the page by accident and post the same topic twice. If you do so, there are a number of things you could do:
~First, Edit your post, explaining what happened
~Contact the Administrator, or Moderator of that forum
Doing these things will:
~Keep everybody off your back
~Not get you banned |

| Just wondering why you want members to use the PM system "sparingly"? |
That's just a small note to ask members to keep genuine discussions in the forum rather than use the PM. Since I don't monitor PMs (I believe that PMs should be truly private) I just wanted to mention this point... _________________ Literary Forums

I've had really long guidelines, really short guidelines, and everything inbetween. Once, I had guidelines so long even I didn't want to read them, and I wrote the bloody things!
These days I use some guidelines similar to, and inspired by, Patrick's. I write them myself, though, so they're customized and based on the community, not just cut & paste copies. _________________ Phantasy Star: The Fringes of Algo | phpBB Smith |
